I usually forward updates regarding the Warburg Library refurbishment to
FICINO, the Renaissance list, I thought I could also forward this to the
present list as the Library is also extensively used by some subscribers.

Subject: Warburg Library Refurbishment Update
The basement floor of the library will be closed from Wednesday 15 July
until the end of September. There will be NO temporary access during this
period. The libraries of the Royal and British Numismatic Societies will
be closed from mid-July until the end of September.
The ground floor of the Institute, including the Reading Room, will
re-open on Wednesday 23rd September. (The computer catalogues will NOT be
available for consultation from 4.00 pm on Tuesday 22nd September until
10.00 am on Wednesday 23rd September. Books held on reserve on the Second
Floor will be returned to the Reading Room by library staff on the
morning of Wednesday 23rd September.)
The first floor (library and photographic collection) will be closed from
Monday 28th September for approximately six weeks.
Works on the other floors are currently expected to take place during the
following periods:
Second floor -- 9 November to Christmas; Third floor (including Archives)
-- New Year to mid-February; Fourth floor (including Photographic Studio)
-- mid-February to late March.
We regret any inconvenience caused, but assure you that the result of
these works will be greatly to improve the environment of both our books
and our readers.
