Sorry I can't help, Paul, except to suggest your local
used book stores--or the internet used book sites. And, of
course, there are Vulgates on the net (LABYRINTH, et al.).
But maybe someone on this list has an answer to a simple
question that's bugged the hell out of me in twenty years
in the book bidness:
WHERE _*DID*_ ALL THE VULGATES GO???
In my modest career I've not come across more than a dozen,
half of those pre-1800.
WHAT happened to them??
Was there a great book burning after Vatican II?
Help on this urgent question most appreciated.
Best from here,
Christopher

P.s. Netscape.net is a pretty good e-mail provider,
especially good at filtering out junk mail. But the
b*st*rds have it in their mind (sic) that they can use
_my_ e-mail as a vehicle to send their own junk
mail. (Duh)
I'm trying to get this fixed and, if not will find another
provider. Meanwhile,
My apologies for the following commercial
anouncement:
