Long Beach
CSULB, a vibrant, comprehensive, urban university with an
enrollment approaching 30,000 students, is one of the largest
campuses in the 23-member California State University system.
Located three miles from the ocean in Long Beach, the fifth
largest city in California, the 320-acre campus offers a

The College of Liberal Arts
The College of Liberal Arts, the largest college at CSULB, has
twenty-three departments and programs in the humanities and
social and behavioral sciences, including ethnic studies and
women's studies, language, literature, international and area
studies, and journalism. The College offers twenty-three BA and
sixteen Master's-level degrees to approximately 5,000
undergraduates and 1,000 graduate majors, and has the central
responsibility for general education in the University. Its
talented, diversified faculty is committed to teaching
excellence, quality scholarship, and the education of a
multicultural student body in an intellectually supportive
community.
