Assistant Professor of Italian
The Department of French and Italian at San Diego State University
is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in Italian
to begin in August 1999 at the rank of assistant professor.
Specialization open, but candidates must demonstrate commitment to
interdisciplinary teaching and research and to communicative
language teaching at all levels. Candidates with experience
coordinating multiple-section classes and expertise in pedagogical
applications of technology are especially encouraged to apply.
Must have native or near-native fluency in Italian and Ph.D. in
hand by date of appointment. Evidence of outstanding teaching and
scholarly potential and of ability to work well with students
from diverse cultural backgrounds required. Send letters of
