it's always wonderful to see your name in print (US presidents excluded),
and people have been awfully nice about crediting me with some innovations
in clinical teaching:
e.g. from recent messages on this list:
"We have very recently 'Sackettised' our .... journal club as well."
"We .... then use dave sacketts approach"
my concern is that this terminology gives me solo credit for what has
always been a collaborative effort, involving a gang of methodologists and
front line clinicians (e.g., where would journal clubs be today without
scott richardson showing us how to translate their opening
patient-presentations into 3-part questions?)
i'd appreciate it, therefore, if folks would either use generic terms
("3-part ebm journal club") or cite a reference to denote some
teaching strategy or tactic which i've lent a hand in developing.
