Hi
Recent requests for references reminded me that about a year ago, in
discussion with Vic Finkelstein and Ken Davis, I promised to make
available the full text of the much quoted (but rarely read) UPIAS
document 'Fundamental Principles of Disability'. The document was out
of print and Vic was getting numerous requests for the few spare copies
remaining under his bed.
We had a few teething problems with the technology but I'm happy to
say that the full text is now available on the web as an RTF file. I
hope this format should be accessible to the maximum number of readers
without compromising too much of the original format. I've changed the
page layout from double column to single column and marked in the
original page breaks as they occur in the text. Otherwise, it's as
faithful as I could be (but let me know if there are corrections to be
made).
You can find the document at:

NB: With accessibility comes vulnerability. Please treat the original
copyright in this document with the considerable respect that it
deserves - and enjoy the read!
Best Wishes
