While I certainly am not aware of any exhaustive studies of the word's
usage in liturgical texts, that just doesn't fit as well with the major
thrusts of the Ascension texts. E.g., we see the word again in today's
reading from Leo the Great who spells out the importance of the
Ascension as a source of the 'pietas' in our hearts.
