This probably is building on Acts 14.22, which Chrysostom cites several
times in the TLG corpus --
dia pollwn qliyewn dei hmas eiselqein eis thn basileian twn ouranwn (or
tou qeou) [through many discomforts it is necessary for us to enter into
the kingdom of the heavens (or of God)] --
but I have been unable to identify the first part in any of the relevant
TLG contexts of Chrysostom ("There is no comparison between something
valuable and something cheap"? -- how would that look in Greek? is the
contrast entimos/atimos? poluteles/adocos? sugkrinein for "compare"?).
That's about as far as I can go, for now.
