The Center for Early Modern History, University of Minnesota, is
sponsoring a conference entitled "State Religion and Folk Belief in the
Early Modern World" in recognition of the work of Professor Stanford
Lehmberg, to be held May 1-3, 1998, at the Holiday Inn-Metrodome. The
registration fee is $100 (waived for University of Minnesota faculty, staff

In addition to the above, the Center is also hosting a visiting
professor,
John Munro from the University of Toronto on Friday, March 6. He will be

1290-c.1330" at 1:30 p.m. in the Ford Room (710 Social Sciences Building).
