that's the version with which I'm familiar. It does have a "sneezy" sound

That's the way that I first learned it as well. I was a Canadian military
air force brat, so I could have learned the rhyme from kids either in
Prince Edward Island or Winnipeg. When I was slightly older, I remember
reading some books of nursery rhymes that came from England and thinking
that 'Atishoo' was kind of funny. I didn't become aware of "ashes" until
quite some time later.
