I have once read somewhere (and cannot now recall where) that there
existed a kind of medieval Christian explanation of the strange
Jewish unwillingness to eat pork: it was a story where Christ himself
partook, and there was also something about small Jewish children put
into sacks (what for?) and magically turned into pigs (?), that's
why, they say, since that time Jews do not eat pigs in order not to
become cannibals.
Does anybody remember this story?
