Dear List Members:
I hope those of you who work regularly with hagiographical sources can
answer this one. What would be the most effective/efficient way to compile
a list of eleventh-century lives of eleventh-century saints? (I am not so
much interested in particular saints as in using their lives as sources on
eleventh-century social practices and cultural attitudes). Does one just
slog one's way through the BHL, or is there (Oh, I hope so!) a better way.
Thanks in advance, and please answer privately--unless anyone else would
like such information.
Megan
