Dear Megan,
I don't know of any other way than the BHL 'slog', but believe me when I say that
the effort is worth 1000 times the hours put into it. You'll discover things
you'd never imagined, and see links previously inconceivable; and such is the
case precisely because practically everyone is put off by the idea of the 'slog'.
You're guaranteed to be a pioneer; go for it, and (believe it or not) enjoy!
