Howdy colleagues:
I hope the following is an appropriate use of your list.
I think it offers an opportunity for a fellow-laborer in the
groves of academe.
I will be on sabbatical Fall 99, and would like to exchange homes
with a British faculty member--actually, anyone who lives near
a research library.
We live near Laramie, Wyoming (yes, the state with Yellowstone,
the Devil's Tower, Cheyenne, etc.). Laramie is a very friendly
university town of about 30,000 people, and it is
situated on the front range of the Rockies.
We live 5 miles out, where the antelope and coyotes roam.
Our house sits on 7 acres of upland desert, has 3 bedrooms,
2 studies, 3 bathrooms, large family room, large living room,
and all mod. cons. including a jacuzzi tub in the master bath.
Our views range for 30 miles in three directions.
I can arrange office space and email capability for interested
faculty.
Ideally, we could swap pets, too. We have two cats to keep
you company while you're here.
Families are welcome (we have a two-year-old). Non-smokers
essential.
Pass the word--I hope we can manage a cross-cultural exchange!
