The Department of Information & Library Studies has a strong research
culture and was rated 5 in the last Research Assessment Exercise. A
Lecturer in Information Science is required to contribute to this culture
and develop research in their field of expertise.
It is expected that the successful candidate will contribute to teaching in
one or more of the following areas: Information retrieval techniques,
systems and evaluation: user information search behaviour; information
sources, uses and searching; model based information retrieval; digital
libraries.
