1. CHEST Office Information
---------------------------
Please note that University of Bath is closed on 1st September and

2. INSPEC
---------
CHEST is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with The
Institute of Electrical Engineers, whereby the Institutions of Higher
and Further Education and Research Councils in the United Kingdom, HEAs
in Ireland, and Associated Sites, are able to subscribe to the INSPEC
databases.
The agreement starts on 1 September 1998 and all details can be found at:
http://www.chest.ac.uk/datasets/inspec/contents.html.
This agreement is different to previous CHEST agreements in that the
subscribing institution licences the data via CHEST in the normal way,
and then contracts with the service provider of their choice. There are
5 different authorised service providers to choose from.
Authorised service providers are those who met the mandatory
requirements set by CHEST and JISC, and the details of the service that
they offer are shown in links from the URL above.
3. MCB
------
CHEST is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with MCB
University Press, whereby the Institutions of Higher and Further
Education and Research Councils in the United Kingdom, HEAs in Ireland,
Associated Sites, and SURFdiensten institutions are able to subscribe
to the following products:
a) Anbar Management Intelligence (with option of Document Delivery)
b) Computer Abstracts
c) International Civil Engineering Abstracts
d) Emerald Journal Collection
