>radical English poets like yourselves writing directly on Finlay?
A good Scottish poet, Drew Milne, has written on Finlay, directly
addressing the very ambivalences which trouble Doug and wriggle away
from Lawrence and yet seem the only thing worth watching in IHF. A
friend of mine, Stephen Thomson, reviewed the reissued The Dancers
Inherit The Party for an issue of Object Permanence and remarked:
"The day the tanks rolled in and put a stop to this net-mending, herring
fishing nonsense was the day Finlay became interesting." Drew`s
essay appears in an issue of the Scottish Literary Journal, from, I
think, two or three years ago now. It`s called "Adorno`s Hut", after
the IHF object of the same name.
