Subject: Evidence Based Clinical Biochemistry (Speaker)
Dear Dr Sackett,
Further to my telephone call of the 21st, September 1998 I am writing
to you on behalf of the Wales Region Association of Clinical
Biochemists (ACB) for advice and help in locating a speaker.
Together with the NW ACB region we have planned a meeting around the
topic 'Evidence Based Clinical Biochemistry' to be held at the Moat
House Hotel, Chester on the 14th - 15th October, 1998 and a copy of
the programme is given below.
To date we have been unable to find a speaker for the opening session
on Wednesday 14th, 11.00 - 11.45. In the programme this session is
titled 'Evidence based Clinical Biochemistry' and it was anticipated
that the speaker would give an overview of evidence based medicine and
the clinical usefulness of diagnostic tests, thus setting the scene
for the meeting.
I would be very grateful for assistance in contacting colleagues with
an interest in Evidence Based Medicine who might be able to give this
talk.
