We are experiencing corrosion problems running our in house HPLC method for
HbA1c (Pharmacia Mono-S column, their protocol) which the equipment
manufacturer says is due to the use of Li Hydroxide buffer and/or halide
ions. It is recommended that we replace the stainless steel head in the
sampler with one made of titanium (expensive) Do other labs use these
solutions without a problem or have they solved it? Is there an "in-house"
lab out there who uses an alternative method/buffer system and would be
willing to supply details?
Many thanks
Jane Lewis
