Since INNOPAC is supposed to use the loan rule to set the booking period,
using the H loan type should at least round the WANTED TO time to the
nearest hour. If it doesn't I think you should report it to the Help Desk.
It's possible that no one has reported this anomaly.
One solution (if you can persuade Innovative to do this) might be to
remove the "Minute" window from the dropdown menu when a patron chooses
the "Book from" time in WebPac and to force bookings to start on the
hour. Alternatively, since the dropdown menu only offers the choice of
00,10,20,30,40, or 50 minutes after the hour, it shouldn't take a lot of
work to reduce the choice to 00 or 30, for instance, or just to 00. BTW,
our students often make a booking to start 10 minutes past the hour so
that they can come to the library after a class to pick up a short loan
book.
Just one word of warning. Patron self-booking stopped working in the OPAC
since we converted to Release 12. (It's the holdable vs. bookable thing
once again.) Self-booking works ok in Course Reserves and Innovative seems
to have fixed the problem in WebPac but it still doesn't work in the telnet
version of the OPAC.
