I would be very grateful for anyone's advice on an economical,
practicable solution to the following problem.
I am deriving 95% interfractile reference intervals for a number of
analytes from several hundred thousand values already entered into
Excel files on Windows 95. I need a cheap (or free) statistical
programme for PC that will perform the necessary non-parametric
statistical tests (and preferably do the graphical presentation in
the format with which we are all familiar).
Any suggestions ?
So far I've been offered a) an Excel add-on which looks great but
can only operate in Windows NT and b) a well known programme that
I've used before on main frame which, to my horror, costs £4000 +
£1000 per annum. There must be some simple solution which currently
escapes me !
