Bill,
I have seen a video on Hildegard. Can't recall the name; may have come
from Ignatius Press. To give you some idea of its historicity: as I recall
it began with some white robbed inquisitors hanging Richardis von Stade by
her feet from a tree in the forest. Hildegard then nursed Richardis back
to sanity and so forth. In other words, it was to history what a can of
frozen orange juice is to a citrus orchard. On the other hand, the people
I was with thought it entertaining. I was left wondering why the producers
mixed things up so much, when Hildegard's real story is so interesting in
itself. There was considerable singing in the video; it was rendered
without complications.
