My name is Luigi Mammolini.
I am an Italian Government Lettore working at the troubled Italian
Section of the School of European Culture and Languages (SECL) of the
University of Kent at Canterbury (UK).
My core activity is teaching Italian language, with a few seminars
on XIX Century literature.
As from next academic year I will start teaching some new
courses like Varieties of Contemporary Italian and History of the
Italian Language.
I am trying to integrate into the design of the above courses
electronic resources available in various forms - from CDs to the
Internet. This is also the topic I am writing about in my
dissertation for an MA in Applied Language Studies and Computing,
which I am going to submit shortly.
I hope this responds to the "dicci piuttosto cosa sai fare" request,
which, If I remember correctly, was the reception my first
introduction got a few light years ago. I also hope I am allowed to
reiterate here that I am interested in corpora (of Italian language
and literature, or bilingual) and in their uses for teaching and
research purposes.
I recently edited some departmental web pages, but on this topic I am
afraid I will have to inflict a separate message upon the list
members.
Cordiali saluti e buon lavoro.
Luigi Mammolini
