In a fit of insanity, I have scanned, de-scannoed (think of
'typoes' for that to make sense, thank you, Jim Marchand), HTMLized, and
finally mounted the 2 documents on regulating books in 1275 & 1304 at the
University of Paris. The address is
http://129.71.130.48/dept/english/lidaka/chartularium.html
Beware: this is just a pseudo-facsimile of the Chartularium Universitatis
Parisiensis text with notes, and it uses tables. There is no additional
material added, though I would like to have, eventually, a summary
cross-listing of works in both documents to see how pecia numbers and
prices change. And the fact that I used tables means that you will
probably not get readable results if you use Lynx or some other browsers.
I hope that I have broken no copyright laws. If I have, I will
remove the offending page immediately and I hope that someone will inform
me of my error. Moreover, I hope nobody sues me.
Since the link to the outside world has very limited bandwidth,
you may have trouble reaching the site--the page was mounted this morning,
and I know that I (being out of WV) could not reach it myself until nearly
midnight local time. That may be just Tuesday, since I had no trouble
Monday. But don't be surprised if you have trouble reaching it.
Also, I have tried to restrict blind access by limiting indexing
by robots (if you don't know, don't ask me) that cooperate. So if ORB or
Labyrinth or someone else makes a link, or if you make your own link, you
will be able to reach it again; however, if you rely on search engines you
may not.
Finally, if you see any errors, please do notify me immediately.
And if you have other information that would make this page of greater
value, please let me know. I thank you all in advance, and send you my best.
