There is a textual tradition (usually labelled "Apostolic Church Order[s]"
or "Ecclesiastical Canons of the Apostles") in Greek and other daughter
versions in which this format occurs, but the content is not "creed"
proper, but rather the "two ways" ethical teachings and related materials,
which get distributed among the various apostolic voices. I wonder how
widely this format was used for transmitting basic Christian materials of
various sorts?
