My name is Charles de Miramon
I've done my Phd in the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in
Paris. My subject was the 'donati' (donnes in French), lay people that give
themselves and their belongings to monasteries and hospitals in exchange
for a life allowance. I'm now writing an article on the conversion of old
people and ad succurendum during the 10th and 11th century and I've started
a new project on the history of discourses over menstruation and puerperum
bleeding in Canon Law and Moral Theology and the relevailles (First
churchgoing ?) ritual.
My name is Maaike van der Lugt
i'm currently writing my Phd at the University of Utrecht (the Netherlands)
on the scolastic theory of extraordinary generation (Incubus, conception of
Christ, spontaneous generation). I'm particularly interested in the history
of life sciences in its relations with theology.
