The Precious Blood was also a matter of discussion at the Faculty of
Theology in Paris in 1448. The Franciscans at la Rochelle claimed to have
some conserved and sent a master of theology of Paris, Jacobus Bretonnelli,
OFM, to the Parisian Faculty to ask their opinion on the matter. The
theologians responded that the idea of Christ's blood still remaining on
earth was not repugnant to faith. Does anyone know anything about the career
of Jacobus Bretonnelli, OFM, other than what appears in the Chartularium
Universitatis Parisiensis?
