In a 15th century Lollard text I'm working on the Passion is described as
Christ's "purgacio" of sin, not a bearing away of the sins of the world but
a "purgacio ... per ventrem". I would be most grateful to hear from anyone
who can provide some context for this interpretation of the Passion.
