Dear fellow medieval-religion subscribers
I've been invited by Greenwood Press to compile a biographical dictionary
(3rd volume in a reference series of 7) of European history covering the
years 1300-1500, and so I'm looking for around 70 or so scholarly
contributors who might be interested in writing and publishing some entries
for the book. I can offer compensation of one copy of the volume when it
is published by Greenwood sometime in 1999 for those authors willing to do
at least 5 entries each. I have created a list of around 320 mostly
cultural figures (men and women of literature, religion, art, music,
patrons, historians, scientists, some rulers, etc.) of the late medieval
and early modern periods whose lives need to be written for the dictionary,
at an average length of around 700 words or so. I am now in the process of
signing up contributors and giving out biographical assignments. If you
hold an M.A. or Ph.D., work as a teacher/professor, professional scholar or
advanced graduate student, and think you'd be interested in a research,
writing and publishing opportunity such as this, please e-mail me at
[log in to unmask] and let me know of your interest and qualifications.
