I'm pretty sure that this "meeting" was in fact the King's funeral at which
there were a large number of Bishops and other prelates (see the anonymous
continuator of Guillaume le Breton's chronicle). However, some of these
*were* probably in Paris in an effort to drum up support for the
Albigensian crusade. I'm working on Fulk/Foulques/Folco, the Bishop of
Toulouse, and he was there for that reason.
I wish I could add more, but I haven't written that chapter yet :>
