The Sir David Owen Population Centre, University of Wales Cardiff,
was established in 1972 to promote the multi-disciplinary study of the
relationships between human population change and economic/social
development. Specifically, the Centre offers widely-recognised
education/training in the management of population policies and
programmes and reproductive health activities. Users include managers,
researchers, planners, policy-makers and other professionals in family
planning, reproductive health and population and development
activities, typically from countries of Asia and Pacific, sub-Saharan
Africa, Latin America and Europe, as well as European students in
search of higher specialist qualifications.
A range of short, Certificate study programmes and two single year
MSc programmes are available:-
