Forum members may be interested in this article which reports on
Shell's revisions to its 'values bible': Statement of General
Business Principles.
Following its 'most far-reaching rethink since the principles were
first laid down in 1976' and 'stung by the serious harm done to its
reputation over its role in Nigeria and the disposal plans for the
Brent Spar oil platform' the principles now include an explicit
'commitment to human rights and sustainable development'
The piece goes on to discuss the 'oohs and ahs' of this but I'll
