One source with which I am familiar is the Chester Mystery Cycle, the
second play of which includes Adam's mystical dream. The play was
performed for the last time in 1575, and it may have been written as
early as 1328. Its sources are usually thought to be Comestor's Historia
scholastica and/or Jacob da Voragine's Legenda Aurea.
