I a legal text which I am trying to translate into Danish one of the
proctors quote St. Augustin: Sicut beatus Augustinus arguit contra Faustum
sic inquiens: O Fauste, quicquid pro te adducitur, dicis esse verum;
quicquid vero contra te colligitur, negas esse verum et dicis esse falsum.
Ergo, Fauste, tu es regula veritatis.
I have had a look at Augustin's Contra Faustum but could not find this
passage. I might have missed it, and would therefore ask if anyone of you
know the quotation or if somebody with access to an electronic version of
Augustin's works would kindly help me and make a search for the regula
veritatis. It would certainly be of great help to me.
