Dear listmembers, especially you who take care of Beryl Smalley's
inheritance,
I would very much like to know about the commentaries on St. Luke's
Gospel written in 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries before Hugh of Saint-
Cher's Postils. I am aware of Stegmuller's Repertorium, but alas, can
not consult it without travelling to Helsinki (130 miles). I am
especially interested in commentaries, which took the scriptoriums by
storm and thus presumably had continuous importance as sources for
later commentators.
P.S. Also sermons on the pericope of Luke 16:10-31 are interesting to
me. Since I am a "new" member and haven't introduced myself, maybe I
have to add few words. I am preparing a dissertation on the mendicant
sermons in the first Sunday after the Trinity Sunday (gospel pericope
being above cited Luke). I am interested in 13th and early 14th
century preaching in general, especially when concerning matters
pertaining to moral theology.
Cheers,
