The Public Record Office, London, has a spare set of its class lists.
The set covers the vast majority of the PRO's holdings, but it is
incomplete. The PRO would be pleased to present the set to any
interested and appropriate academic institution. The lists are on A4
paper in post binders. The binders are 310mm high and 240 mm deep.
They occupy around 80 metres of shelving.
The recipient institution would be expected to pay for transport from
the PRO's building in Chancery Lane, London, WC2. The lists would have
to be packed and collected from Chancery Lane between 17.00 and 20.00 on
Friday 6 December, or between 8.00 and 17.00 on Saturday 7 December
1996.
Interest institutions are asked to contact Gervase Hood at the PRO (0181
876 3444, extension 2237) at the earliest opportunity, and no later than
17.00 on 15 November 1996.
