PS: Stephen Bemrose, in his forthcoming biography of Dante, makes it clear
that Dante never set foot in Paris. The presence of Dante in the French
capital is nevertheless quite palpable, given the Rue Dante near the
College de France, where one finds in front of its entrance a statue, not
of Montesquieu or Moliere, but of Dante. Cool.
