UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
REGIUS PROFESSORSHIP OF ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY
A Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History is due to be appointed by Her
Majesty the Queen with effect from 1 October 1997. The professorship is
annexed to a canonry, which may be a lay canonry, at Christ Church.
Suitably qualified persons wishing to submit their names for consideration
are invited to do so not later than 30 September 1996, sending their
applications (ten copies, or one if from overseas), together with the
names of three referees, to the Registrar of the University, University
Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JD, from whom further particulars
of the professorship may be obtained. The professor will not necessarily
be chosen from among those who have applied.
