Hello. My interest in medieval religion consists mainly in exploring
notions of _affectus_ as seen in writing from late antiquity through the
high middle ages. I have published a translation of Aelred of Rievaulx's
_De spiritali amicitia_ and am working on another book tentatively
entitled _Amicitia in Latin Prose Writers from Cicero to Aquinas_.
Nothing like a small topic!
I am very much looking forward to the discussions on this list, not least
because I don't believe anyone will ask me to translate the tag-line from
Alcuin below my signature.
