Dear list members,
The School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual Culture (LLMVC) as part of the University of Aberdeen is excited to invite expressions of interest from high-quality early career candidates for the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme for 2024-25. The British Academy will open its 2024-25 competition in July 2024, with a deadline for receipt of full applications in October 2024 (tbc). Full details of the scheme are given on the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships <https://www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/funding/postdoctoral-fellowships/> webpages. Candidates must be within three years of the award of their doctorate, and must be a UK or EEA national, or have completed their doctorate at a UK university.
In particular, we are looking for applications in the areas of music, film/visual culture, folklore studies and ethnology. We particularly welcome interdisciplinary projects that cut across our research specialisms, though proposals will be accepted in any of these areas.
Applicants who would like to be considered for the fellowship must submit an outline proposal (Intention proforma, Abstract and CV) to the School's Research Development Executive, Sabine<mailto:[log in to unmask]> Freitag by 5 pm on Friday 21st June 2024, using the following forms (the forms and further information can be found here<https://www.abdn.ac.uk/sll/fellowship-opportunities-1585.php>):
