Dear Helen
Its that time of the year when we are all battling with cases
I chair the Midlands Academic Integrity Group. Are you part of the northern group chaired by Stephen Gow in York by the way?
Have you read the OIA good practice guide? Its quite helpful
We require 2 academics for minor offences (in School) and 2 academics (out of school) plus a student union executive officer for major offences. Penalties are awarded according to our Penalty Framework
Best wishes
Sandie Dann

Good afternoon all
We are looking at our academic misconduct policy and we currently require that two academics are present at the school enquiry meeting stage with the student. Please can I ask if you require one or two academics to be present in the meeting, or if you require colleagues from other departments to be at the meeting?
Also, has anybody moved away from meetings, and moved to conducting investigations through email correspondence?
Thanks all
Helen
