ISFC 2023
This Sunday 11th June, 2023 at 11:00am UK Time
For a second time, we'll explore 'connections, interconnections, and
disconnections' at our online symposium. Focusing on 'ritual, tradition,
ancestry, and temporality', as well as 'culture, representation, and
intangible heritage', among others.
Please register before 9th June 2023 to receive the Zoom link.
Interested in cultural studies, carnivals, festivals, celebrations,
parades, rituals, leisure, music, religion, history, heritage, tourism,
media, Caribbean culture, African culture, folk studies, or any other
related field or discipline, come and hear academics and practitioners
discuss their research and work.
Guest panelists includes carnival designers/artists Carl Gabriel [1],
Rosalind Gabriel, and Hughbon Condor, as well as historian Dr Kim
Johnson, [2] and author and music producer Martin Raymond.
