The Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Consortium welcomes applications for funded doctoral research in early music. Northern Bridge provides outstanding supervision in this field spanning from the fourteenth to the eighteenth centuries, and covering a broad range of approaches, perspectives and repertoires. For those interested in undertaking doctoral projects in Tudor performance practice, this research area will be facilitated by the residency of the Wetheringsett organ in Newcastle during 2023-24, in partnership with the Royal College of Organists.
The consortium encourages and enables cross-institutional supervision and multi-disciplinary collaborations, while supervision can also be drawn from a single institution and discipline.
