Sunstein in conversation with Dr Holly Tessler to discuss Cass's recent Journal of Beatles Studies<https://www.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/journal/jbs> article Beatlemania: On informational cascades and spectacular success<https://www.liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/doi/10.3828/jbs.2022.6>. Cass and Holly will be joined by Paul Abbott, co-host of The Big Beatles Sort Out podcast<https://pod.link/1531129636>, for a 'desert island discs' of Beatles solo material; the episode will be available online after the event.
Cass R. Sunstein is currently the Robert Walmsley University Professor at Harvard Law School. From 2009 to 2012, he was Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Obama administration. He is also The New York Times best-selling author of The World According to Star Wars (2016) and Nudge (2008).

The Journal of Beatles Studies is co-edited by Holly Tessler (University of Liverpool) and Paul Long (Monash University) and is published in association with the University of Liverpool<https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/arts/> and MA The Beatles, Music Industry and Heritage<https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-taught/taught/beatles-ma/overview/>.
It is the first journal to establish The Beatles as an object of academic research, publishing original, rigorously researched essays and notes, as well as book and media reviews.
Volume 1 is available online now, contributions explore how, why and through what means The Beatles are both subject and object of critical study.
