British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Department of Music at the University of Aberdeen invites applications from prospective applicants to the British Academy's Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. The British Academy will open its 2022-23 competition in mid-July 2022, with a deadline for receipt of full applications on the 6th October 2021. Candidates must be within three years of the award of their doctorate, and must be a UK or EEA national, or have completed their doctorate at a UK university
Music at the University of Aberdeen combines expertise in composition, creative practice, community music, ethnomusicology, musicology, music education, music theory and sonic arts. Our staff produce internationally recognised academic and creative outputs with a strong interdisciplinary approach, as well as engaging in public facing activities and impact projects. We also maintain close links with the Elphinstone Institute, especially in the areas of ethnomusicology and traditional music, and film and visual culture.
