The Research Group ERASMUSH from the Universidad de Oviedo and the Unité de recherche RIRRA 21 from the Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 are pleased to promote the second part of the International Conference «Analysing Spanish Music and Music inspired by Spain (1833-1939): languages, sources of inspiration, compositional procedures, archetypes», that will take place in the Universidad de Oviedo. This Conference aims to promote the analytical approaches to music around Spain from the beginning of the Isabella II Reign to the end of the Civil War.





Because of the continuing uncertainties arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will be held online, from Wednesday 27 to Thursday 28 April 2022.





The programme committee encourages submissions within the following areas, although other topics are also welcome:

  *   Aesthetic and Analysis



  *   Analysis and musical creation



  *   Analysis Methodologies and theoretical approaches

The official languages of the conference are English, French and Spanish. No simultaneous translations will be available.

Papers are limited to twenty minutes in length, allowing time for questions and discussion.





All proposals should be submitted by email no later than Sunday 10 April 2022 to

Please submit an abstract of no more than 500 words and one page of biographical information, including your name, contact details (postal address, e-mail and telephone number) and (if applicable) your affiliation.



The committee will make its final decision on the abstracts by the 17 April, and contributors will be informed immediately thereafter. The programme will be announced after that date.

Le Groupe de recherche ERASMUSH de l’Universidad de Oviedo et l’Unité de recherche RIRRA 21 de l’Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 organisent la deuxième partie du Congrès international « L’analyse des musiques espagnoles et des œuvres d’inspiration hispanique (1833-1939) : langages, sources d’inspiration, procédés compositionnels, archétypes », qui aura lieu à l'Universidad de Oviedo. L’objectif de ce congrès est de promouvoir les approches analytiques des musiques autour de l’Espagne, depuis le début du règne d’Isabelle II jusqu’à la fin de la Guerre civile espagnole.





En raison des incertitudes sanitaire découlant de la pandémie de Covid-19, le congrès se tiendra en ligne, du mercredi 27 au jeudi 28 avril 2022.







Le Comité scientifique propose la présentation de travaux en relation avec les thèmes suivants, bien que d’autres approches pourront également être prises en compte :

Les langues officielles du congrès son l’anglais, le français et l’espagnol. Il n’y aura pas de traduction simultanée.



Les communications auront une durée de vingt minutes, et seront suivies de questions.





La date limite de réception des propositions est le dimanche 10 avril 2022.





Elles devront être envoyées par courrier électronique à l’adresse <[log in to unmask]>.





Elles doivent se composer d’un résumé de moins de 500 mots et d’une brève bio/bibliographie qui précise le nom de l’auteur, son adresse postale, son email, son numéro de téléphone et, s’il y a lieu, son institution d’appartenance.





Le comité scientifique prendra sa décision finale le 17 avril et communiquera aux auteurs si la proposition a été acceptée ou non. Après cette date, les communicants recevront le programme du congrès.

El Grupo de investigación ERASMUSH de la Universidad de Oviedo y la Unité de recherche RIRRA 21 de la Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 organizan la segunda parte del Congreso Internacional «Análisis de músicas españolas y de obras de inspiración hispánica (1833-1939): lenguajes, fuentes de inspiración, procedimientos compositivos, arquetipos», que tendrá lugar en la Universidad de Oviedo. El objetivo del congreso es promover los enfoques analíticos de las músicas en torno a España desde el comienzo del reinado de Isabel II hasta el final de la Guerra Civil española.





Debido a la situación sanitaria producida por la pandemia del COVID-19, el congreso se desarrollará online, del miércoles 27 al jueves 28 de abril de 2022.



El Comité científico propone la presentación de trabajos relacionados con las siguientes áreas temáticas, aunque otros enfoques podrán ser también bienvenidos:

Las comunicaciones están limitadas a veinte minutos de duración, para favorecer las preguntas y la discusión académica.





Las propuestas deberán ser enviadas por email hasta el domingo, 10 de abril de 2022 a <[log in to unmask]>.





Se ruega remitir un abstract de no más de 500 palabras, y una página de información biográfica que incluya el nombre y apellidos del autor, datos de contacto (dirección postal, email y número de teléfono) y, en su caso, afiliación académica.





El Comité centífico decidirá las propuestas admitidas el 17 de abril y comunicará su resolución a los autores. Después de esta fecha, los participantes recibirán el programa del congreso.





Una selección de trabajos de las dos partes del congreso –Montpellier (2021) y Oviedo (2022)– será publicada en un volumen misceláneo.
