Joint SMI and ICTM-IE Postgraduate Conference 2022 Dublin City University
14–15 January 2022
The Society for Musicology in Ireland and the Irish National Committee of the International Council for Traditional Music are pleased to announce a joint postgraduate conference, hosted online from Dublin City University on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th January 2022 and wish to extend an invitation to you to attend.
The conference is held in association with Dublin City University. Delegates will present 20-minute papers designed to introduce the key tenets of their research to the SMI/ICTM-IE community. The conference aims to showcase the wonderful research our graduates are undertaking in a collegial forum which offers students the opportunity to gather feedback, connect with colleagues, and come together during these unusual times.
The 2022 conference will feature a keynote address by Dr Áine Mangaoang, University of Oslo, Norway.
As with previous SMI/ICTM postgraduate conferences, this year's event will feature the presentation of the biennial Alison Dunlop Graduate Prize. The programme will also include a Careers Forum, a dedicated session featuring prize-winners of the annual CHMHE competition for undergraduate dissertations, music performances from DCU.
Registration is via Eventbrite: https://tinyurl.com/SMIICTM2022Reg
