Dear All,
Research is often hidden behind paywalls. Knowledge that is needed in the teaching profession, therefore, trickles only very slowly into the classroom. The MESHguide project aims to support teachers in their professional practice by giving access to current research.
MESH, thereby, stands for Mapping Educational Specialist know How (www.meshguide.org<http://www.meshguide.org>)
These research summaries are accessible online, free of charge to teachers and educators world-wide. The results will be published in the form of easy-to-read flowcharts, clearly outlining the research and how this can benefit practitioners. Each flowchart, or MESHguide, is peer-reviewed by a researcher and a practitioner to ensure that research and usability are fit for purpose.
We are looking for contributions in the area of Music, specifically (but not exclusively) for two topics outlined below. Please contact us if you have any other areas of interest that you would like to share with us in the format of a MESHguide.
1 Teaching in Crisis
2 Decolonising the Curriculum

We would like to invite interested authors of a MusicMESHguide to take part in a webinar in which we will show examples and discuss writing strategies of such a MESHguide.
The first part of this is a prerecorded video that you can find here: https://youtu.be/-tvTupCJBwA
The second part will be a live webinar on Zoom. Please sign up here: https://forms.gle/CWvWURAv4g3yao2Y8
The next live webinars will take place on:
Monday, 19 July 11am (BST) (in English)
Friday, 23 July 14:00 (MEZ) (in German)
Tuesday, 27 July 3pm (BST)
Tuesday, 7 September 6pm (BST) (in English)
If you cannot make any of these dates, please still fill in the sign-up form and indicate that you'd like to be contacted for a future date.
During the live webinar, there will be an opportunity to discuss ideas, to ask questions and to start working on your MESHguide. Please note that these live webinars are repeated workshops, so - while you're welcome to sign up for all - one will be sufficient. You are welcome to submit a Music MESHguide without attending a webinar.
Submissions and Deadlines
Music MESHguides can be submitted as a word document to Motje Wolf ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>). Please use the header Music MESHguide submission.
