Appointment may also be made at Grade 6: £29,176 - £34,804 per annum with an appropriate adjustment of duties.
Applications are invited for a Researcher to work with Professor Kamal Mahtani and Dr Stephanie Tierney on a study exploring the role of link workers as part of social prescribing in primary care. The title of the research is ‘Understanding the implementation of link workers in primary care: A realist evaluation to inform current and future policy.’
The successful applicant will take a lead in data collection and analysis. This will include interviews with patients, link workers, healthcare professionals and voluntary-community sector staff, and observations of the link worker when interacting with patients and colleagues. A realist logic of analysis will be applied to collected data.
You will ideally have a PhD/DPhil, experience of qualitative or mixed methods research and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of realist research, use of NVivo and experience of coordinating Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) for a study would also be desirable.
You will be based in the Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG.
