Dear all,
I wondered if you use a cut off for red cell count in CSF above which total protein and glucose are not measured? Perhaps you always measure CSF total protein and glucose due to the more precious nature of the sample but add a cautionary comment relating to the RCC?
If you do use a CSF RCC cut-off for measurement of these analytes I would be very interested in the providence of this cut-off?
I would be happy to collate responses received and feedback to this group, if of interest.
